Extraordinary British Empire Travel Jewelry Box. Veneered in Burled Yew Wood and Amboyna inlaid with silver, mother of pearl, and ebony floral designs. The interior with a small oval beveled mirror and pleated red velvet, finished with realistic delicate “Faux Rosewood” Concealing a secret travel desk with gilt decorated leather and storage for pen and inkwells. Made in England circa 1840.
