Swedish antique clock cabinet with a secretary desk. The cabinet is made in two parts, with a lower cabinet featuring drawers shaped to accommodate the weights and pendulum with a channel that runs through the cabinet. The secretary desk has multiple smaller drawers. The cabinet is handcrafted in northern Sweden around 1830, from solid pine. Looking closely, there are traces of a monogram and the year on either side of the clock face. Old historical paint. There is some evidence of prior restorations. Two small drawers in the interior are more recent additions from the early 1900s. The locks on the large drawers underneath the desk top have been removed and sealed. The original clock mechanism, including weights and pendulum, is intact. The mechanism has been serviced and was in working condition at the time of photography, but no further guarantees on functionality are provided. The frame is 101.5 cm wide and 54 and 24 cm deep respectively. Heigh to the desk top is 83.5 cm and the depth including the desk is 91 cm. Height of the two parts are 111 and 107 cm making the total height 218 cm.
