We are delighted to offer for sale this very nice circa 1860-1880 oversized mahogany chest of drawers with Thomas Chippendale cluster column pillars and Sheraton revival inlay
This is one of the most impressive chests of drawers I have come across for a long time, firstly the size is very grand, its around 100% larger than a normal chest of this type, secondly the Chippendale cluster columns are impressive, they are carved from one piece of wood but look like there are multiple separate pieces, lastly the Sheraton revival inlay to the top is sublime Condition wise, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it, there will be age and use related patina marks which all add to the look and feel of the piece
