This listing is for an antique French wall clock.

This style is often referred to as a bakers clock or oeil de boeuf (eye of the bull)

This clock was made by the DuPurey a Darney (France).

The outer casing has a nice black lacquer with a brass dial surround. The inner part of the frame is adorned with intricate inlay with mother of pearl.

The dial is made from stone (alabaster) and has brass framed porcelain numerals

The movement is an 8 day time and gong strike, utilizing an early “morez” style of movement.

The movement was last serviced in 2013. However, we cannot test it because it is missing its pendulum

It’s quite stunning.

The clock features the philosopher Horatius in the legend of the “Fall of Rome.”

It is by Guyon a Lyon, movement by Maison Barbot.

The clock measures 15.25 x 5.5 x 22.25 inches.

It appears to be in overall good condition. Some minor signs of age, such as minor tarnish and a repaired piece of the dial.
