Vintage Design

Wim Rietveld cabinet model 663 designed by Wim Rietveld for Gispen Culemborg in 1954. A very modern and industrial piece of furniture for its time that can be used as storage unit, bookcase, display unit or room divider. The cabinet can be disassembled and can easily be rearranged according to your own choice if desired. This cabinet has a beautiful colour combination in blue, black and grey. The condition of this cabinet is still good and original with clear signs of use and wear; scratches, paint loss and corrosion which gives this cabinet (in my opinion) more character (the story of this cabinet). It has been completely cleaned and polished. An option is (if desired) to partial repaint it. Dimensions: h x w x d = 137 x 126 x 34 cm.

Vintage Fresco Wardrobe from G-Plan https://www.satlanti.shop/product/vintage-fresco-wardrobe-from-g-plan/ https://www.satlanti.shop/product/vintage-fresco-wardrobe-from-g-plan/#respond Thu, 10 Oct 2024 01:49:15 +0000 https://www.satlanti.shop/product/vintage-fresco-wardrobe-from-g-plan/

Vintage Design

Perhaps one of the most beautiful wardrobes ever designed and made is this model of the English brand G-plan. Designed by V. B. Wilkins, this furniture was, among other things, a masterpiece from the popular and precious fresco models series. This iconic piece of furniture inspired on the Danish style will certainly bring the WOW factor to every room and help you put the mid-century style what you are looking for! Made from solid teak hardwood in combination with Afromosia wood for the handles, this is a high -quality furniture. The combination with very well -applied veneer parts also provide a cupboard that is unparalleled not only in design but also in weight. Made with a craftsmanship of the highest level, this is a cupboard to be proud of and we rightly speak of a case of heavy quality! On the inside convenient of layout with generous space for all your clothes with both a hinge and leg section. G-Plan produced some of the most iconic furniture of the past 60 years. All furniture of this factory fit and combine great with and within the many styles from the decades afterwards. A G-plan is and remains a jewel for your interior! The whole is in an original vintage condition and from the first owner who bought this cupboard in England in the 1960s and also recently used there, there have been some traces of use due to various relocations, the so -called Patina. This manifests itself in some light scratches on the side, which gives this cupboard its own character. Most worth mentioning is a repair at the height of a hinge. This has already been neatly repaired in the 1970s, so we are talking about a time -wide repair. Despite these tracks, it is still constructive and decorative a very nice cupboard that is rarely offered on the European mainland. Height: 174 cm Width: 85.5 cm Depth: 58.5 cm

Vintage Design

Generously wide sideboard from the sixties with a veneer of poplar veneer. Chic to use in the living room as a TV cabinet or as a sideboard in the bedroom.

The wall cabinet has a horizontal ‘mirrored’ veneer: This veneer technique reveals a repetition in the flames in the wood, so that the grain repeats on the panels of the doors and the body of the cabinet.
On the left side of the cabinet there are two doors behind which there is a generous storage space that is separated by a shelf. This cupboard part can be closed with a lock and the original key.
To the right of the cabinet is a four-drawer cabinet where all drawers are equipped with the original sleekly designed ‘blind’ handles. The drawers open and close smoothly by pulling the handles. The top drawer is lockable.

The whole stands on an original base with four cone-shaped wooden legs, which gives this space winner an empty character despite its generous size. The cabinet has been professionally renovated by us, so that the cabinet looks almost like new again. Due to the correct treatment with a matt high-quality furniture oil, the grain in the wood has come to life again and it shows a spectacular interplay of lines of the wood grain. The cabinet has no veneer damage, rings or other defects and can be installed immediately.

Vintage Design

This wonderful cabinet in a rich, red lacquer would add interest and a luxurious feel to any room. It was produced in Shanxi province at the beginning of the last century and the red lacquer and gold motifs are quite typical of the region, considered lucky colours. The doors and lower panel are decorated with circles in gold, each one containing an auspicious animal, flower or other symbol important in Chinese culture.

The doors fit directly on wooden dowels into the cabinet’s frames above and below, doing away with the need for metal hinges. This ingenious design, along with the small drop handles on the doors (a replacement for the originals), provides the largest possible canvas for the beautiful decoration.

The two shelves inside are removable, while the interior board at the bottom can also be removed to reveal a ‘hidden’ section behind the bottom fixed panel. Two drawers below this – most likely a more recent addition as drawers are not normally seen on this type of cabinet – provide extra storage space.

Authentic regional buffet of the Loire Valley in solid cherry meter opening by two identical drawers whose facades are dressed in moods of fine ground wooden baguettes and have wooden print buttons. The underneath is encrusted in its center of a tinted wooden star.
This piece of furniture is equipped with two dollars, with a frame. The upper part of these doors is with movement and symmetrical, accompanied by molding. An original iron lock is accompanied by an operating key and two brass entries.

Vintage Design

Classic and very stylish secretary/chatol in oak, model 143 designed by Børge Mogensen for Søborg Møbelfabrik.

The upper part has a trap door with drawers behind and several compartments. The boxes are entirely made of wood and are sturdy, and all boxes have small knobs as handles. When the hatch is folded down, there is a good depth and a good work surface for both laptop, crafts, sewing machine etc. .

The lower part has four wide drawers and they too have a good depth and hold plenty of storage. The boxes are very stable and are completely wooden and fresh. Mogensen’s characteristic handles are on both trapdoors and drawers

The secretary stands on a leg stand with round, tapered legs.

Like all Mogensen’s furniture, it is of very fine quality and is a fantastic piece of craftsmanship that never goes out of time.

Stamped.

100×46-79×118 cm.

There are minor traces of use, but otherwise it is in very good condition.
