Winfield Acorn Pattern Signed Gabriel Pasadena Round Vegetable Serving Bowl RARE
Circa 1940’s
This unique shaped serving / vegetable bowl with crimped edging is in exceptional condition! The glaze is still bright and no utensil marks noted. No chips or cracks. Edges are smooth. This bowl is marked “338” along with the signature and city “Gabriel Pasadena.”
Hand painted images of acorns still hold their perfect colors! The base color is a faintly speckled almond beige.
Measures: 6 5/8″ long including handle x 5 1/2 side to side x 2″ tall (2 3/4″ with handle)
About:
Winfield Pottery was founded in Pasadena, Calif., in 1929. The founder, Lesley Winfield Sample, died in 1939 and the pottery was taken over by Margaret M. Gabriel and her husband. Winfield Pottery was overwhelmed with orders for dinnerware after World War II, so in 1946 it licensed the name ‘Winfield’ and 450 of its molds to American Ceramic Products Co. of Santa Monica, Calif. From 1946 to 1962, when it closed, Winfield Pottery marked its wares ‘Gabriel Pasadena.’ Any dish marked ‘Winfield China’ was manufactured by American Ceramic Products, not by Winfield Pottery. American Ceramic Products became Winfield China Co. in 1959. The Pasadena production pieces were hand signed on the unglazed bottom “Gabriel Pasadena.” Finding a piece with the Gabriel signature is pretty rare.

Antique Victorian Middletown Plate Co Triple Plate Condiment Cruet Castor Set. Triple Silver Plate Holder. Fenton Cranberry Coin Dot Glass. Condition is preowned. Item measures approximately 7”L x 7”W x 14”H.

Pair of silver and cut-crystal salad servers. Circa 1910. These salad servers are in very good original condition.

Dimensions: 12” length, 1.75” depth, 1” height

This is a gorgeous ornate Italian serving set The design features intricate flourishes a crest on the handle tips. Perfect size for salads and side dishes. These would make and unexpected and beautiful addition to your table top.

Circa 1950s. Silverplate over brass and stamped Italy on the back of both pieces. There is a brand name on the fork as well, but I can’t quite make it out.
Silver plate is intact with no wear.

Collectable Mason Ironstone in Ascot Brown, is a beautiful year round pattern that is especially timely in the fall. This soup tureen, lid and under plate set, will make a stunning statement piece for holiday entertaining. If you are not going to use it as a serving piece, a large scale floral arrangement would be breathtaking! For collectors this will make a great addition to tureen, mason ware, vintage serving pieces and pottery. The set includes the tureen and under plate, and does not include the ladle. The tureen opening lip measures 10.75″ x 8.75″. With the lid on the height is 10″ and horizontally from handle to handle 14″. The platter is 15″ x 10.5″. There is some crazing on the platter and body of the tureen but the overall condition is very good. No chips.
