Vintage Design
George I entry table made in England in the early 1700s using oak and pegged construction. This is a beautiful and old piece that is in fantastic shape and ready to be used on a daily basis. The top is composed of two boards with rounded edges that show some age cracks. The apron of the table is flat on three sides and has two inset drawers on the front. The drawers are rather large and deep, with beautiful hand-made dovetail joints. The drawer fronts are decorated by a small molding around the edges. The table sits on two hand-turned legs on the front and two square legs on the back, connected by a box stretcher on the sides and the front.
Overall this is a gorgeous little table that will look great in an entryway, and those drawers will be fantastic places where to hide the mail you do not want to deal with when you get back home. It’s small size make it great because it can fit in an apartment, as well as a larger house, so you will be able to take it with you wherever life takes you!
