Vintage Design
Hanging easy chair Gojan, designed by the Danish architect Ib Arberg for the Swedish manufacturer ABRA Möbler. This remarkable chair features a chrome metal cage suspended from a black steel base. It retains its original textile upholstery, complete with loose cushions. Danish architect Ib Arberg, along with his wife Anne, relocated to Sweden in 1967. In the early 1970s, they established the design studio Arberg & Arberg, creating innovative pieces perfectly tailored for the modern market. The hanging chair Gojan, initially conceived as a promotional novelty, made its debut in London in 1973. However, due to high demand from customers, production began at the small workshop of ABRA Möbler. It quickly gained recognition, featuring at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair that same year, and the rest, as they say, is history.
