Handknotted in wool, this antique 4×5 Oushak rug originates circa 1880-1890 and is the latest to join Rug & Kilim’s Vintage & Antique collection.

On the Design

This rug is an interesting tribal piece, and among the few scatter rugs we’ve curated from this provenance.

Beige-brown and salmon tones underscore geometric patterns and primitivist motifs with an archaic beauty. Colors are the ideal mix of comfortable, almost neutral earth tones with informal, playful pinks that make this piece so distinct from other Oriental rugs.
