Vintage: Late Victorian era, c.1890’s-1920’s English, silver plate, “nautilus,” shell-shaped spoon warmer, mounted on a rough hand-hewn, base to mimic rocks upon a shore line. A shell handle is attached to one end, in which to pick up to and fro, and have one’s guests pull out a warm spoon for serving; either during dinner, tea, breakfast service, or for that special occasion, and holiday, a mus! Silver plays such an importance and is also a reflection of one’s character and how one lives with simple and sophsiticated serving pieces in every day life, but for all occasions.

moreIn great condition. There is minute patina to the silver, which we took the liberty to polish, and also to top of curve of nautilus a wee small dent, given the era of manufacture with use. Lovingly and well-preserved. less
