Osvaldo Borsani and Eugenio Gerli for Tecno, T102 conference or dining table, teak and steel, Italy, 1964.<\/p>\n

Oval dining table with Carrara marble top and steel base. The characteristic of this table is the base, which consists of four C-shaped legs. Together, these semicircles form an interesting cross that has a biomorphic entity. Contrasting with a shiny polished metal exterior and a black enamelled interior. The oval top displays an extraordinary piece of Carrara marble in a beautiful white color.<\/p>\n

Tecno was founded in 1953 by Osvaldo and Fulgenzio Borsani. The central thought on which the company is based is the idea that homes function as the foundation on which quality of life is built. Although Tecno was led by functionalism, aesthetics have never ceased to be important. Technique the tool that gave rise to typological innovation. The office world experienced extreme growth in post-war Italy and it was primarily to this world that Tecno dedicated its innovative design and craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

\nAs can be seen in the last image, there are areas where due to the extraordinary size of the piece, it was perfected in the same factory to complete the small missing areas that allow such a wide extension. This technique is executed to perfection and does not take away any beauty from the piece, but rather makes each piece unique. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
